Pay Period 25 and 26 Special Processing Instructions
Reference Number: NFC-25-1755891319
Published: November 18, 2025
Effective: Pay Period 25, 2025
Summary
Timekeepers are reminded of special Time and Attendance (T&A) processing instructions for Pay Periods (PP) 25 and 26.
Implementation
Note: The instructions for each pay period are unique.
PP 25
The first and second passes of the Payroll Computation System (PAYE) will run on Thursday, January 1, 2026, and Friday, January 2, 2026, respectively. However, T&As can be transmitted to the National Finance Center (NFC) as early as Friday, December 26, 2025, but no later than the close of business on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
- Full-time employees in a pay status who normally earn 6 hours of annual leave for each full pay period (Leave Category 6) will accrue 10 hours of annual leave for PP 25, the last full pay period of calendar year 2025.
- Full-time employees in Leave Category 6 who are in a nonpay status for all of PP 25, or who reach a multiple of 80 hours of a nonpay status in this pay period, will not accrue leave.
PP 26
Since PP 26 is divided between the current/next calendar year, Emergency Military Leave (transaction code 68) or nonpay hours used in PP 26 will be charged to the 2025 calendar year. Military leave must be charged to the calendar year in which the hours are used. When recording Emergency Military Leave, a split T&A must be prepared to charge the leave to the appropriate calendar year whenever the calendar year ends on a day other than the beginning or end of a pay period.
